Dazed Digital-Kenzo

Kenzo was founded in Paris in 1970 by Takada Kenzo. Kenzo was the first male student to attend Tokyo's prestigious Bunka Fashion college before he moved to Paris, Where he opened his first boutique called 'Jungle Jap'. He surprised the fashion world with his originality and the apparent celebration of diverse cultures, nature and colors in his designs.

This article is about Kenzos Spring/summer range of clothing called 'A place in the Sun' designed by Antonio Marras. Mainly because of all the different colors we see in the collection of clothes. The clothes don't seem 'normal' as wearing double breasted jackets with shorts in the summer would seem rather odd to some people. But these clothes were targeted at another target market. People who want to stand out from and look original rather then being seen as normal they want to be themselves instead of going with mainstream fashion that we see everywhere this want to be/look different. The Double breasted jackets with floral shirts and matching shorts definitely gives them what they want which is too look original.
The range of images show the clothes off with a smart/casual yet comfortable look which is a look a lot of people want, but the floral shirts and range of colors add that touch of originality. Which may open up some new marketing opportunities to Kenzo as those that want to look original may be willing to spend more money on there clothes then those to want to look 'normal' which allows them to set a higher price for there clothes.
